Archaeology

Take a brush to suspicious sand and gravel in old ruins. Every unique artefact you brush up goes in your archaeology journal.

How it works

Craft a brush, find suspicious sand or gravel and hold right-click on it. Look in desert temples and wells, ocean ruins and trail ruins. Use a brush, not a shovel: a shovel breaks the block and the find with it.

The first time you brush up a kind of artefact it goes in your journal. /archaeology shows your journal and how many finds you have.

The loop

1. Craft a brush and head out to find ruins.
2. Brush every suspicious block you see.
3. Check /archaeology for new entries.

Where it leads

Finds are the usual vanilla brushing loot, such as pottery sherds, so you can use them for decorated pots. The journal is your record of every kind you have found.
