Tally
Tally is a money server, and the whole thing is one race for net worth. I run it alongside Project Permanence. It is open now as a free alpha.
You start on a small floating rock with a pickaxe. Every block you mine sells the moment it breaks, so you earn from the first swing. You grow that rock into a plot. Nodes on it regrow and keep paying (ten slots, ten tiers each), and licences open richer mines. The pickaxe goes to Efficiency 10 and Fortune 5, and three marks help you find lucky seams and golden ore. The grade drawn on the head runs from Plain up to Tallied, so you can see how far you have got.
The Wilds pay more the further out you go, and you have to bring the ore home to bank it. Haggling raises what the town pays, and it never runs out. Close a book to bank your worth and start the plot again with better pay for good. A crew shares one plot, and crews race each other every week for keys. The Strike is a rich ore field in the far Wilds once a week, and the top three get keys. Rush hours are 7pm and 9pm UK, with double pay.
The rich list updates as you play. It shows who is just above you and how much it takes to pass them. You are told when someone passes you, even if you were offline. A forecast shows where your current pace would put you at the Final Tally.
When the alpha ends
The Final Tally is Friday 13 November 2026 at 8pm UK time. Net worth freezes, the top ten are read out, and their names go in the Record Hall for good, with statues for the top three.
Everything resets after that. Season 1 starts on Saturday 14 November 2026. Alpha progress does not carry over, but anything you buy in the store does.

Java Edition 26.2. Connect to tally.projectpermanence.co.uk.
Until the direct address is live, that placeholder means play.projectpermanence.co.uk:25566 and then /server tally in game.
Store
The Tally store is open during the alpha at projectpermanence.co.uk/tally-store.html. It is separate from the SMP store. Paid ranks and charters give a sell bonus. I am not quoting prices here, because they may change for Season 1.

A vote gives a Miner key and $500. Five days in a row gives a Vault key, and every 75 votes server-wide starts a vote party. None of that works until the list sites can reach Tally.
